Access Digital Media

What

In-person course in which students will learn about all aspects of Digital Media. Students do not need to have any previous experience, only enthusiasm for the subject and a dedication to turn up each week.

The format will be tutorial-led classes in our Cowgate Community College, delivered by a dedicated Edinburgh College lecturer, and covering the following Qualifications Scotland Units:

  • Digital Media: Still Images

  • Digital Media: Moving Images

  • Creative Digital Media Production Project

The Course will incorporate practical sessions going out and recording still images/moving images/sound. By end of the course each student will have produced a short film on a subject that matters to them.

Who

Participants must be of working age and not currently in education or employment. They must also meet other specific entry requirements. Contact us, or speak to your Caseworker for more details.

When

The course usually runs one day a week for 20 weeks. Upcoming dates: 28 August 2025 for 16 weeks.

Why

Teaches students all about Digital Media, whilst encouraging a sense of commitment to a longer course and the achievement of producing a piece of work by the end.

Where

Delivered in person, in our Community College (156 Cowgate, EH1 1RP).
