Photo Arts Group Empowerment (PAGE)

What

Weekly photography trips and editing workshops. The course is split bi-weekly between trips to places of interest (in partnership with Museums and Galleries Edinburgh and Historic Environment Scotland) and tutor-led editing sessions in our Cowgate Community College.

The aim for the PAGE group is to teach photography skills, while improving student wellbeing and reducing isolation through participants involvement in group photographic trips in and around Edinburgh.

Who

Open to current Access to Industry students and those who meet the eligibility criteria for one of Access to Industry’s projects. If you are interested, contact us or speak to your Caseworker for more details. Waiting list currently in place.

When

The course runs bi-weekly, alternating between trips and editing sessions – please see our Weekly Programme for details.

Why

Aims to teach photography skills, while improving student wellbeing and reducing isolation.

Where

Delivered in person, in our Community College (156 Cowgate, EH1 1RP), and on various trips in and around Edinburgh.

Being a homeless young female and struggling with addictions and mental health, she was anxious about where she may be housed – sadly, the outcome wasn’t as she had hoped and she was given accommodation in an area she hadn’t wanted to go.
