We're so proud of the young people who completed the four-week Access to Mechanics (Motorbikes) course, in partnership with Rural and Urban Training Scheme (RUTS). The course – our first in motorbike mechanics – provided the young people involved with an introduction to the industry, expanding their knowledge and skill sets and offering real practical experience. With full access to RUTS workshop, the young people learnt about storage of tools, as well as correct tools to use to solve problems:In the outdoor part of RUTS purpose-built training facility, they assessed the off-road track that they would be driving on in the coming weeks:
The young people then set up an indoor 'rolling road' to get a feel for being on the bikes:
The (suitable grey and drizzly!) day finally arrived for the young people to take the bikes out on the tracks – an exciting way to finish what was an amazing four weeks:
