New Employability Award course for Midlothian!

We're pleased to be offering a new course in Midlothian – Employability Award – open to any adult aged 18-67 who is currently facing barriers into work.

It will be a friendly, interactive and intimate class (open to a maximum of eight people), running every Wednesday for 8-10 weeks from 29 November (10am-12:30pm) at Edinburgh College Dalkeith Campus.

The course will provide an introduction to the world of work for people who are unsure about how to gain and sustain employment. It will look at experience and transferable skills, before helping participants build on their skill set and begin the first steps towards finding employment – composing CVs and covering letters, filling out application forms, and contacting employers.

Upon completion of the course, participants will gain a certificate in Employability Award Level 4.

Employability Award sits alongside a rich and varied offering of courses and activities in Mid and East Lothian, including Wellbeing and Life Skills; Cooking Group; and Smartphone Photography.

Bus tickets will be provided for those who need them. The course will not affect any current benefits that you are on.
