New Summer Art Group for Young People!

New Summer Art Group for Young People!

We are excited to announce that we will have a new young people's Art Group running throughout July, every Thursday from 1pm, starting on 6 July. The group will be part of our EdinMe service's summer programme of activities.

The sessions will be led by Beth Farmer, a practising artist and creative facilitator, who specialises in facilitating spaces for people to come together to engage in artmaking, through the design and delivery of arts programmes to school and community-based groups. She has extensive experience leading projects which support marginalised groups and communities.

Beth has an exciting schedule of activities planned, teaching the young people new skills and letting them try their hand at artistic processes that they may not have had access to before.

The schedule of activities will be:

Week One – Mono Printing
Week Two – Lino Printing
Week Three – Riso Printing
Week Four – Screenprinting

Beth will work with the young people in our Community College setting to inspire participation and support mental health and wellbeing. Keep an eye on our social channels for images of the artworks that the group create.
