New wellbeing course for young people with the Rock Trust

New wellbeing course for young people with the Rock Trust

We are pleased to announce that, in partnership with the Rock Trust, our EdinMe Service for young people will be running a new weekly short course in September to help young people improve their mental health and wellbeing.

The eight-week course – Live Life To The Full – starts on 20 September, and will take place at the Rock Trust Hub (pictured), teaching vulnerable young people the skills to tackle the problems in their life. The course will provide a safe and friendly environment in which to build their self-esteem; learn coping mechanisms for low mood and stress; and explore ways of looking at life differently.

The course is free, and to be eligible the young person must be aged 16-21 and be: based in Edinburgh; looking to improve their overall wellbeing; have left school or disengaged with school; looking for new, creative activities; and keen to build confidence for future progression in education, employment and/or training.

The course will lead to Level 3 & 4 accredited certificates from Edinburgh College. Refreshments and bus tickets will be provided.

The Course will run on Tuesdays, 20 September-1 November. Please email our EdinMe Caseworker Yukti Lamba on yuktilamba@accesstoindustry.co.uk for more information and to register your interest.
